MANILA, Philippines - President Aquino yesterday took
over control of the Philippine National Police (PNP) after senior
police officials admitted serious lapses were committed in the hostage
crisis in Manila that left eight Hong Kong tourists dead.
Mr. Aquino also told reporters that he was taking full responsibility
for the Aug. 23 hostage debacle.
The President said he was temporarily taking over supervision of the
PNP from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)
under Secretary Jesse Robredo.
"I will retain for the interim control over the PNP,” he said. "I
will retain direct supervision of the PNP until such time that all other
concerns have been addressed.”
The President said he would take full control of the PNP and provide
the law enforcement agency with the necessary tools to make it more
responsive during similar life-threatening situations.
"What happened was a wake-up call for our security agencies. The
hostage situation revealed our deficiency in providing the tools and
training needed by our police force to ensure the safety of our people
and foreign nationals who visit our country,” he said.

Paragraph's 20 thru 24 of
Washington's Farewell Address, speaking against parties..
This Spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having
its root in the strongest passions of the human mind.—It exists under
different shapes in all Governments, more or less stifled, controlled,
or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its
greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.— 20
The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the
spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages
and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a
frightful despotism.—But this leads at length to a more formal and
permanent despotism.—The disorders and miseries, which result, gradually
incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute
power of an Individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing
faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this
disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public
Liberty. 21
Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind, (which
nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and
continual mischiefs of the spirit of Party are sufficient to make it the
interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.— 22
It serves always to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the
Public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded
jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against
another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection.—It opens the door
to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to
the Government itself through the channels of party passions. ...>> full

Are you ready for the next and upcoming message from "Osama bin Laden"? Noooooo...! Say what?
Well you should be, and still can be!
Author Mr Cloak, inside his book "Insight Ignites The Eyewitness, Book One, Situation Resolved." An eyewitness account of Osama bin Laden. Exposes the current cover-up, in more then one way.
After reading it, I look forward to Osama bin Laden's next message. Only joking!
Really, I look forward to pointing out the body double, if a photo is used. You see, there are things, which I cannot point out here in this blog, because of copyright... But if I could, you would have an insight, into why Senator Mel Martinez is not running for office again. And, an insight as to why Governor Crist of Florida, lost his support from the GOP...and is now running on an Independent Ticket....
Further, you would know full well, why the FBI posted a WANTED POSTER, of an Osama bin Laden look alike, with a shaved face...there is even more.... Again, because of copyright, I cannot spill those beans....
I'm simply sitting on the edge of my chair, waiting to see if this next message, is from one of bin Laden's sister's, or cousin's, with enough Hollywood makeup to fool most... I wonder, now that I know the truth, or more of it, will the "King of Saudi Arabia" force another oil embargo, if the Masque is not built in New York City. Like he did to force a turn in the Vietnam War, and then again once "President Bush" explained what was going on behind the scene when he was filmed dancing on the front steps of the White-house. And why the "Prime Minister of Australia," gave him a full hand SALUTE from across the room. ...>> full

EDITORIAL - Poor deployment
Gas masks, tear gas guns, high-powered rifles, armored vests.
Not on display were the sledgehammers, which are in fact useful for
smashing certain materials, though not so effective, as we now know, for
shattering the glass doors of buses.

MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang has ordered the
Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of
Investigation (NBI) to stop issuing statements and let the Department of
Justice (DOJ) do the talking in connection with the progress of the
investigation into the hostage incident last week that left eight Hong
Kong tourists dead.
Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said only Justice Secretary
Leila de Lima would be allowed to brief the media and the public on
developments in the investigation being conducted by an inter-agency
body headed by the DOJ. The NBI is under the DOJ.
"Only one will talk. The NBI, the PNP and all other offices have been
told not to issue any announcements, to recourse to the Secretary of
Justice, which is a better way of coordinating news,” Lacierda said.
He said the gag order was De Lima’s idea and was meant to avoid
confusion.
The gag order came a day after the PNP, through spokesman Senior
Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr., said all the tourists were killed by
the hostage taker and not by friendly fire from members of the Manila
police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team. Cruz cited initial
forensic analysis on spent shells recovered inside the bus where the

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — About 10 men raked a jeep
with gunfire in the central Philippines, killing a town councilor and
four companions in a province long notorious for political violence,
officials said today.
Councilor Wenceslao Sinagpulo Jr. of Masbate province's San Pascual
town, his driver and three other companions died during Saturday
afternoon's attack in a mountain pass, regional military spokesman Maj.
Harold Cabunoc said.
Sinagpulo was on his way home when he was attacked. His
bullet-peppered body was found several meters from the jeep, indicating
he managed to run before being felled by gunfire, San Pascual police
chief Jose Ramos said.
Cabunoc said the attack could be politically-motivated, citing
intense political rivalries and presence of privately-maintained armed
groups in Masbate, about 350 kilometers southeast of Manila.
Investigators have not obtained any evidence that could help identify
the gunmen, Ramos said.
The government has deployed more troops to Masbate and other security
hotspots to ensure order during the May 10 presidential and local
elections.

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot
bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage
earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the
brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character
and courage by taking away men's initiative and independence. You
cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should
do for themselves.
